Alysha Monique is a bold, creative, and soulful artist whose musical journey began in her hometown’s church youth choir. Early on, she discovered her love for music—first playing clarinet in her school band and later exploring the depths of jazz on the tenor and baritone saxophone. Her passion blossomed as she joined her high school Chamber Choir, seamlessly transitioning from instrumentalist to captivating vocalist.
Embarking on her professional career in her final high school years, Alysha honed her craft at Elmhurst College, collaborating with industry legends and receiving guidance from renowned mentors. Her talents have been celebrated by esteemed voices in the music world, paving the way for a dynamic career.
Now proudly based in Chicago, Alysha is an integral part of the city’s vibrant arts scene. She has graced a variety of notable local venues—from intimate spaces to landmark performance halls—each reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of the city. Her performances not only captivate audiences but also embody her deep commitment to the arts.
With an extensive repertoire that spans classical, jazz, soul, R&B, reggae, funk, and pop, Alysha is proficient on instruments including clarinet, piano, ukulele, guitar, and, of course, her versatile vocal prowess. Her sultry jazz and soul stylings evoke an essence of love, individuality, and self-actualization, while her dedication to teaching continues to inspire emerging artists at every level.
